The Role
We are seeking entrepreneurial, client-centric, and hungry Directors to join our Deals practice. This role will be instrumental in developing our AI-enabled propositions on Post Merger Integration (inc. Synergy Development), Carve-out support, and broader Value Creation engagements. This is a hybrid leadership role based in our Mayfair office, offering the opportunity to build and lead the most forward-thinking Deals practice in the market.
Responsibilities
- You will originate and develop client and engagement opportunities through focused business development, as well as leading on pitches, thought leadership, and events.
- You will co-develop, along with the wider team, the future operating model for deals, leading the thinking on the AI toolkit required to innovate new propositions and client services.
- Lead and deliver high impact client engagements across PMI, Carve out, and Value Creation for both PE & Corporate clients.
- Build and nurture a high performing team, coaching Senior Managers and Managers to become future leaders.
- Collaborate with the wider Unity Advisory leadership team to evolve firm strategy and service offerings.
- Represent Unity Advisory in the market, building a trusted advisor profile with clients, investors, and partners.
- Be a key part of a fast growing disrupter in the professional services market.
What you'll bring:
- 10+ years' experience in a Deals / Value Creation role, with extensive and end-to-end experience in PMI & Carve out (buy and sell side).
- Deep subject matter expertise including, but not limited to: Integration Blueprinting & Planning, Day 1 Readiness, Synergy Development, TSA Assessment & Management, Due Diligence, Equity Story, Target Operating Model, and IMO / Separation PMO.
- Significant senior leadership exposure, with a proven history of coaching and guiding teams.
- Proven track record of originating and delivering large, complex transactions.
- Extensive experience with Private Equity clients and portfolio company situations.
- Strong influence and interpersonal skills, with the ability to challenge and partner with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and appetite to help build a challenger firm from the ground up.
What you'll get from us:
- The ability to develop your own market, propositions, and toolkit - with a clear runway to a Partner role.
- A dynamic culture where you will be supported and encouraged through client work and business development.
- An innovative AI toolkit, producing higher quality work products and enabling you to spend time on the more interesting aspects of your role.
