About Unity Advisory
Unity Advisory is a pure-play, experience-led CFO advisory firm providing integrated finance, commercial, tax and deals support. We are free from audit conflicts and AI-enabled by design, combining deep technical expertise with automation, analytics and AI built into the delivery of every engagement. We are building an alternative to traditional advisory firms, focused on clarity over complexity, outcomes over hours, and practical advice delivered at pace for CFOs making high-consequence decisions.
The Role
As a Finance Transformation Senior Manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery of complex transformation programmes — leading cross-functional teams, holding the client relationship at a senior level, and taking accountability for outcomes, not just outputs. This is a role for someone who is ready to step beyond workstream management and operate as the day-to-day face of Unity Advisory on the engagements they lead. You will shape how we solve client problems, contribute directly to growing our CFO advisory practice, and play a real part in building the firm — including developing the people around you. At a firm without the structural constraints of a Big Four, that means your influence and impact will be felt faster.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale finance transformation programmes across process, data and technology.
- Act as the senior day-to-day client relationship holder, managing CFO-level stakeholders with confidence and building long-term trusted advisor relationships.
- Shape transformation roadmaps and future-state finance operating models from initial diagnostic through to implementation.
- Oversee redesign of core finance processes including R2R, P2P, O2C and FP&A, ensuring solutions are practical and built to last.
- Lead delivery of cloud ERP and EPM implementations, automation programmes, data platforms and AI-enabled analytics solutions.
- Take accountability for project commercial management — scope, budget, resourcing and risk — across engagements.
- Lead executive workshops, steer steering committee updates, and present findings and recommendations at board level.
- Drive business development activity including client targeting, proposal leadership and pitches — bringing in new work and expanding existing relationships.
- Contribute to building Unity Advisory’s CFO Office proposition, thought leadership and go-to-market approach.
- Manage, mentor and develop Managers and more junior team members, taking an active role in performance and career development.
- Support the firm’s recruitment and capability-building as we grow.
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years of experience in finance transformation, including significant time in a consulting or advisory environment.
- A strong track record of owning and delivering complex, large-scale transformation programmes — from diagnostic through to sustained adoption.
- Senior client relationship experience, with the confidence and credibility to advise at CFO and C-suite level.
- Deep expertise in ERP and EPM platforms, process re-engineering, operating model design, and data and analytics.
- A proven ability to lead, develop and inspire teams — including managing performance and supporting career progression.
- Commercial acumen and prior experience contributing to business development, proposals and client growth.
- Finance or accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA.
Work Environment
A truly hybrid and flexible working environment. We offer the opportunity to be at the forefront of AI-driven advisory services. You’ll be working on cutting-edge projects and encouraged to deploy the latest analytical tools and approaches.
