Objective
To work as a member of the estate security team for the protection of persons and property and thereby the provision of a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the provision of day-to-day Front-Line Security for the estate.
- Interact with all stakeholders, visitors, tenants and management team, dealing with any requests and escalating these where required to the estate Security Management team via the estate Security Control Room.
- Carry out regular patrols and inspections, both internal and external across the estate including car parks.
- Work with the various Front of House Security teams providing relief cover for breaks.
- Maintain good order on site including the protection of everyone therein against violent acts, abuse and accident.
- The protection of private property belonging to the client, their staff and visitors against loss, theft and damage.
- Ensure basic fire precautions are in place and means of escape are kept clear.
- Provide full reports on all maintenance and security related issues.
- Escalate any contractor issues to the onsite FM / Estate Security Control Room.
- Provide information for and in accordance with company disciplinary procedures.
- Assist in training new staff to both the client's and the company's standards.
- Comply with company health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of communication and good working relationship with all other staff, visitors and contractors.
- Carry out all duties as required in a professional and diligent manner.
- Liaise with retailers to assist and advise them on complying with estate rules and licensing laws.
Additional Duties
- Assist with any investigations of thefts, complaints and incidents as required.
- Record and report all incidents.
- Record and report all accidents.
- Assist as directed in the event of any full building evacuation / major incident.
- Be deployed on estate events.
Person Specification
- Must be of good general health and fitness. Be able to work outdoors actively carrying out patrols.
- Must have previous security experience.
- Must be able to cope with high pressure situations.
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance is critical.
- Must hold a valid Door Supervision or a Close Protection SIA licence.
- CCTV badge would also be beneficial.
- First aid trained.
