This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and capable Duty Shift Manager (DSM) to lead a team of security officers at one of the leading business parks in Europe. The site encompasses 12 office buildings located around a lake and gardens with up to 9,000 people and 70 companies working on site. The management ethos is centred around delivering 5-star customer service and the site also hosts regular small scale entertainment and sports events. The park is open to the public all year and has a small number of shops, cafes and bars on site.

We are looking for an experienced, flexible and customer focused Duty Shift Manager to lead a small team of security officers in delivering a great visitor experience, underpinned by discreet but solid security, at a challenging but highly rewarding site. Shift Pattern: 1 x nights and 1 x days

Hours of Duty: 42 hrs per week average

Pay Rate: £16.58 per hour

Core Duties:

  • Lead and manage a small team of security officers, overseeing their daily duties on the ground.
  • Manage control room CCTV operators to ensure they are proactively monitoring the park for security concerns.
  • Manage foot patrols and static posts to ensure they are conducted as per SOPs, to high standards.
  • Conduct daily morning team briefings and shift inspections.
  • Act as site commander for day-to-day minor issues and queries.
  • Ensure the parks’ culture and ethos of 5-star customer service is incorporated into everything the team does.
  • Cover security officer posts as per the schedule at break and other times.
  • Conduct regular team training using training materials provided by security management team.
  • Deal with minor daily HR and officer performance and welfare issues.
  • Produce daily handover notes for oncoming shift.

Skills:

  • Confident using email, computers, word, excel.
  • SIA D.S. License and CCTV license.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience working as a DSM preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years security industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and diplomacy skills.
  • Positive outlook, solutions driven approach, flexible mindset.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, discipline and develop teams.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English.
