Key Information:
- Location – Kings Cross, London
- Rate – £14.80 per hour
- Shifts – Minimum 16 shifts per month, days, nights, weekends. Offsite working may be required to fulfil minimum shift requirements.
Scope:
Unitrust is looking to recruit professional, reliable Security Officers to deliver a best‑in‑class service to a new prestigious contract in Kings Cross, London. The candidates we are looking for must be reliable, professional and dedicated to supplying a best‑in‑class service. You must hold a Security Guarding or Door Supervisor SIA License to work within our business.
Essential Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a confident and personable manner.
- Exceptional customer service abilities, with a strong focus on providing outstanding experiences.
- Reliability, trustworthiness, and punctuality in all responsibilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, multitask, and prioritise effectively.
- Physically able to perform all duties associated with the role.
- Computer confident, proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Possess a valid SIA front line and CCTV license.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Prior work experience in the security industry and/or within the hospitality sectors is desirable.
- Familiarity with technologies used to detect security threats.
- Enhanced communication, listening, and customer service skills or the ability to develop further in this field.
Duties to include:
- The maintenance of good order on site, including the protection of everyone therein against violent acts, abuse and accident.
- The protection of the client’s property against loss, theft, damage (including fire and water) and waste.
- The protection of private property belonging to the client, their staff and visitors against loss, theft and damage.
- Prevent offences against the law of the land, Unitrust disciplinary codes and policies and ensure all are brought to the attention of the management.
- Ensure basic fire precautions are in place and means of escape are clear.
- Undertake internal and external patrols and inspections in accordance with Assignment Instruction and SOPs.
- Working with the management team meet and greet visitors and ensure relevant security procedures are carried out.
- Some standing (for more than one hour) may be required due to patrolling (where applicable).
- Escalating any issues security and maintenance related issues to building management team by detailed and accurate emailed reports.
- Monitor, respond to alarms as required with the CCTV, Security & BMS systems.
- Management of contractors for the client and tenants.
- Liaising with tenants.
