Role:
Reporting to the security manager, you will support the delivery of a truly exceptional customer journey for both staff and visitors in this flagship building. You will become well‑versed in the processes and practices of a Concierge and Security professional, ensuring excellence in customer service and operating as part of a well‑drilled security operation. To ensure synergy across our service providers, we work with a ‘one team’ approach, collaborating closely with catering, cleaning, maintenance, and Front of House teams to provide an environment that is welcoming, relaxed, and safe at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors
- Take an active interest in, and give commitment to the client
- Ensure that the environment and service is truly excellent and beyond expectation
- Promote the client, tenants, and other service providers positively to all interactions throughout the customer journey
- Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges
- Be highly presentable and accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated
- Ensure all contact, be it internal or external, by telephone, face to face or any other medium, is clear, courteous, polite, professional and respectful
- Ensure complete client/tenant/service provider confidentiality; protecting people and information is paramount
- Appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system, and completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion
- Be familiar with all security and emergency procedures on site and assist in the facilitation of their safe execution and practice (including potential fire marshal or first aider training)
- All assignment instructions, operations manual or standard operating procedures are to be reviewed, understood, and followed
- Embrace and deliver bespoke training requirements, specific to contractual obligation or regulation
- Complete rostered duties and all associated tasks or responsibilities to the highest possible standard
- Ensure that all health and safety and environmental procedures are followed and do not undertake any activity which could breach the SIA or other relevant regulations
Specific Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist staff, clients, tenants, and visitors to the premises in a warm and courteous manner
- Work with all colleagues to ensure the integrity of security on the site
- Early identification and mitigation of any threats to persons, premises, or property, escalating where appropriate
- Have an outstanding knowledge of the premises (inside and external) and be able to assist with queries
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff, visitors, tenants, service providers, and clients
- Have good knowledge of the local area to answer queries about local transport links or services
- Ensure the security of people, premises, and property, protecting the reputation of the client/tenants throughout
- Ensure a safe and secure working environment for all
- Check identity and credentials of staff, contractors and visitors where required
- Record details of any suspected criminal activity on the premises; commence investigative procedures prior to onward reporting where necessary
- Carry out proactive patrols, internal and external, as directed by assignment instructions
Essential Skills:
- Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence
- Excellent oral, written communication, interpersonal skills, and confidence
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
- Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to multi‑task and prioritise to solve problems and overcome challenges
- Physically able to conduct all responsibilities associated with the role
- Ability to work to instruction and on your own initiative where required
- Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes
