Unitrust is looking to recruit professional, reliable Security Officers to deliver a best‑in‑class service to a prestigious contract in Kings Cross, London. We are an award‑winning security company with a large footprint across London, and we value the contribution of our colleagues as we continue to grow our client base. Candidates must be reliable, professional and dedicated to supplying a best‑in‑class service. A Security Guarding or Door Supervisor SIA Licence is required to work within our business.
Essential Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional customer service abilities, focusing on outstanding experiences
- Reliability, trustworthiness and punctuality in all responsibilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, multitask and prioritise effectively
- Physically able to perform all duties associated with the role
- Computer confident, proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Possess a valid SIA front‑line licence (CCTV licence desirable)
Desirable Skills:
- Prior work experience in the security industry and/or hospitality sectors
- Familiarity with technologies used to detect security threats
- Enhanced communication, listening and customer service skills or the ability to develop further in this field
Duties:
- Maintain good order on site, including protection against violent acts, abuse and accidents
- Protect client property against loss, theft, damage (including fire and water) and waste
- Protect private property belonging to client, staff and visitors against loss, theft and damage
- Prevent offences against the law of the land, Unitrust disciplinary codes and policies and ensure all are brought to management
- Ensure basic fire precautions are in place and means of escape are clear
- Undertake internal and external patrols and inspections in accordance with Assignment Instruction and SOPs
- Work with the management team to meet and greet visitors and ensure relevant security procedures are carried out
- Escalate any security or maintenance issues to building management team with detailed, accurate emailed reports
- Monitor, respond to alarms and use CCTV, Security & BMS systems as required
- Manage contractors for the client and tenants and liaise with tenants
