Role
Working within this prestigious environment in Holborn your primary role is to ensure the security of people, premises and property, protecting the reputation of the client/tenants throughout. You will support the delivery of a truly exceptional customer journey for both staff and visitors. To achieve this, you will be well versed in the processes and practices of a Security professional. Excellence in customer service will be at the heart of the role. You will be part of a well‑drilled security operation. To ensure synergy across our service providers, we work with a "one team" approach to successfully deliver an excellent customer journey so in this role you will work closely with cleaning, maintenance and Front of House teams in order to provide an environment which is welcoming and relaxed yet safe and secure at all times.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors.
- Take an active interest in, and give commitment to the client and tenants.
- Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated.
- Be familiar with all Security and Emergency procedures on site and assist in the facilitation of their safe execution and practice.
- Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks or responsibilities to the highest possible standard.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety and Environmental procedures are followed and do not undertake any activity which could breach the SIA or other relevant regulations.
- Complete any other reasonable task as instructed by your line manager or other Senior Manager, either UniTrust or at the request of the Client and/or tenants.
- Act with integrity and in the best interests of the company in a safe, compliant and ethical manner.
- Be prepared to manage a wide variety and diversity of scenarios, people and challenges.
- Act in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and our Code of Conduct.
Security Specific Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist staff, clients, tenants and visitors to the premises in a warm and courteous fashion maintaining excellence as a standard throughout the customer journey.
- Ensure that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas.
- Check identity and credentials of staff, contractors and visitors where required.
- Work with all colleagues to ensure the integrity of security on the site.
- Early identification and mitigation of any threats to persons, premises or property, escalating where appropriate.
- Have an outstanding knowledge of the premises (inside and external) and be able to assist staff, clients, tenants and visitors with their queries.
- Respond to alarms.
- Record details of any suspected criminal activity on the premises (internal and external); commencing investigative procedures prior to onward reporting where necessary.
- Develop and maintain positive interactive relationships with all staff, visitors, tenants, service providers and clients.
- Build patrols. Patrolling internal and external areas of the assignment checking for good housekeeping, building faults or health and safety issues.

- Flexibility in regard to working practices, hours and responsibilities.
- Valid SIA frontline security licence.
- Operation of any CCTV/access control communications in an appropriate manner.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience of the security industry and/or within the hospitality sector or corporate environment.
