Job Title: Guest Support Security Officer

Rate: £14.51 per hour

Contracted Hours: 42 hrs p/w days, nights, and weekends

Core Duties:

• Conduct rotational foot patrols around the full site, perimeter, car parks, landscaped gardens, lakeside paths, meeting areas, shops, and cafes.
• Screen vehicle and pedestrian entry and exit points, provide directions where required, and welcome people to the park.
• Ensure a safe environment for events, sports, and entertainment on the events plaza.
• Conduct regular security and safety equipment checks such as intruder alarms, defibrillators, first aid kits, fire alarms, intercoms, security doors.
• Respond to incidents as per SOPs and follow directions of the Duty Shift Manager, Security Manager, and Deputy Security Manager.
• Conduct periodic vehicle, personnel, and site searches when required.
• Project a welcoming, positive attitude to deliver a 5-star security and customer service experience, interact politely with guests, give directions, answer queries, and refer when unable to assist.
• Think quickly to solve problems during difficult interactions, de-escalate conflicts using soft skills, diplomacy, and street smarts, and escort people off the park if necessary.
• Support other operations departments in maintaining the park’s appearance, such as litter picking and reporting maintenance issues.
• Maintain a smart appearance, high visible presence, and observation skills to deter hostility and spot irregularities.

Skills:

• Sound technical and IT knowledge to operate patrol scanners, radios, body cameras, entry/exit gates.
• Physically fit and active, capable of walking and standing for long periods, and running if needed during incidents.
• Comfortable in crowded areas, interacting with the public, and working professionally.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• CCTV license is a plus for covering breaks in CCTV control room.
• SIA D.S. license required.
• Minimum 1 year security industry experience or equivalent required.
