Job Title: Security – Dedicated Contract Support Officer
Rate: Β£13.85 per hour
Contracted Hours: Minimum 16 shifts per month, days nights, and weekends

Role

Support the delivery of an exceptional customer journey for staff and visitors by applying professional security standards. Customer service is central to the role, alongside operating within a disciplined security team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service to staff, tenants, and visitors.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the client and tenants; ensure a professional, welcoming environment.
  • Positively promote the client, tenants, and service providers throughout the customer journey.
  • Be accountable, presentable, and take ownership of tasks.
  • Maintain professional, courteous, and respectful communication across all channels.
  • Ensure confidentiality and safeguard people and information at all times.
  • Use CCTV, access control, and other management systems responsibly, completing accurate reports.
  • Be fully familiar with site security and emergency procedures, assisting in their execution. Training may include fire marshal and first aid duties.
  • Review, understand, and comply with Assignment Instructions, Operations Manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Undertake mandatory training in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, complying with SIA and relevant regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits from UniTrust Security, the Client, SIA, or other authorized bodies.
  • Act with integrity, resilience, and professionalism in sensitive or challenging environments.
  • Handle conflict with respect and empathy.
  • Assist in the induction, training, or upskilling of team members where appropriate.
  • Comply with Company Policies, Procedures, and Code of Conduct.
  • Participate in ongoing refresher training and knowledge checks by Security Management.
  • Use Outlook and tenant systems effectively, managing information flow and ensuring correct email redirection.
  • Work collaboratively with contractors and suppliers to maintain seamless service.
  • Prioritize Health and Safety, reporting hazards promptly.
  • Respect client property and use facilities appropriately, solely for work-related activities.
  • Adapt to unforeseen incidents, following reasonable instructions from supervisors.

  • Holds or can achieve First Aid at Work qualification.
  • Capable across multiple positions within the contract.
