Unitrust are looking to recruit professional, passionate security managers to deliver a best‑in‑class service to a prestigious new contract in Kings Cross, London. The candidates we are looking for must be reliable, professional and dedicated to supplying a best‑in‑class service. You must hold a Security Guarding or Door Supervisor SIA License to work within our business. The site spans 260,000 sq. ft, it is a redeveloping and mixed‑use estate situated in the heart of King’s Cross, located to the east of King’s Cross Station, and comprised of 12 office buildings alongside 20 retail and leisure units.
Key Information
- Pay: £16.13 per hour
- Hours: Approx avg. 56 hours per week; 12-hour shift with a pattern of 3 days, 3 nights, 3 rest
- Start Times: 07:00 Days & 19:00 Nights
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of the security contract at the client’s premises.
- Assist the site lead with all procedures.
- Ensure Assignment Instructions are always adhered to.
- Ensure that all Unitrust personnel follow the correct dress code.
- Develop relationships onsite with tenants, suppliers & contractors.
- Comply with company health and safety procedures.
Duties
- Ensuring the protection of persons and property.
- Oversee the provision of a safe and secure environment.
- Record and report all incidents & accidents.
- Keep security records and logs up to date.
- Admin duties to include assistance with compliance documentation.
- Act as incident controller.
- Monitor and train staff.
- Deal with staff and visitors enquiries and requests.
- Initialise call out procedures in the event of a crisis arising.
- Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety policies.
- Conduct Unitrust staff appraisals, welfare meetings & probations.
- Manage Unitrust staff performance where required.
- Administer onsite patrol system.
- Early identification and mitigation of any threats.
- Have an outstanding knowledge of the premises.
- Record details of any suspected criminal activity on the premises.
- Manage the local environment and visitors.
- Liaise with all relevant external departments where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors.
- Take an active interest in, and give commitment to the client.
- Ensure that the environment and service is truly excellent and beyond expectation.
- Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges.
- Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated.
- Ensure all contact, internal or external; courteous, polite, professional, and respectful.
- Ensure complete client/tenant/other service provider confidentiality.
- Appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system.
- Lead with all Security and Emergency procedures on site.
- Review and maintain all Assignment Instructions and Risk Assessments.
- Embrace and deliver the bespoke training requirements.
- Complete rostered duties and all associated tasks.
- Complete any other reasonable tasks as instructed by your line manager, the Site Manager or other Senior Manager, either Unitrust or at the request of the Client and/or tenants.
- Be resilient to working in the most sensitive environments, always dealing with any conflict with a respectful and empathic approach.
A 5 year work experience in the security industry and/or within the hospitality sectors is desirable. Minimum 2 years in a similar role is essential. Interpersonal skills and confidence are a must. Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual. Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task. Self‑confidence and an interest in self‑development. Ability to work to instruction and on your own initiative where required. Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes. Demonstrate an awareness of security threats. Enhanced communication, listening and customer service skills.
