To deliver professional security services while maintaining a high standard of customer care.
Act as the first point of contact for all staff, visitors, and contractors entering the building.
Support the client, building tenants, and the Building Manager by ensuring the protection of persons and property, maintaining the safety and security of the site, and assisting with the coordination of contractors and building operations.
- Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Protection & Safety
- Maintain good order on site and protect all persons from violence, abuse, accidents, and unsafe conditions.
- Safeguard the client’s property from loss, theft, damage (including fire or water), and unnecessary waste.
- Prevent offences against the law and ensure breaches of security policy or procedures are reported to management.
- Ensure all fire precautions are followed, and escape routes remain clear.
- Patrolling & Monitoring
- Conduct internal and external patrols and inspections in accordance with Assignment Instructions.
- Monitor and respond to alarms from the Fire, Security, and BMS systems.
- Ensure no unauthorised persons enter restricted or prohibited areas.
- Front of House & Customer Service
- Carry out reception duties including meeting and greeting visitors, checking identification and following all security procedures.
- Maintain a professional, helpful, and service-focused approach at all times.
- Manage key control and daily key issue logs.
- Reporting, Communication & Coordination
- Escalate security or maintenance issues to the Security Control Room or Maintenance Team with clear and detailed information.
- Maintain accurate written and electronic records, logs, and incident reports.
- Escort contractors and oversee their activities on site where required.
- Liaise with Building Services regarding out-of-hours call-outs.
- Support ad hoc security and building management projects as required.
- Incident Response
- Respond to all fire alarms and fire-related emergencies.
- Bomb alerts and all other major incident/emergencies.
- Floods, gas leaks, lift entrapments, and other building emergencies.
- Intruders, suspicious behaviour, and other crime-related incidents.
- Provide assistance in line with training and emergency procedures.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (required).
- Recognised security industry training or equivalent experience.
- First Aid qualification (essential).
Skills, Aptitudes & Attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with Excellent spoken and written English.
- Professional telephone manner.
- Competent in using Email, Word, Excel, and electronic security systems & willing to learn new platforms.
- Capable of using all security equipment required to perform role duties.

- Reliable, energetic, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to manage multiple tasks calmly and professionally.
