Unitrunk Ltd is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of steel cable management systems with distribution centres throughout the UK. We are currently looking to recruit a driver to join our team at Croydon.
The Role
The role is mainly delivery of product to customers driving a 7.5 tonne lorry, however the successful candidate must be prepared to assist in the warehouse and with loading of lorry as and when required.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Make scheduled deliveries to customers as per agreed schedule
- Drive safely and follow all laws and rules of driving
- Keep company vehicle clean and ensure that all required checks are made in accordance with company rules and regulations
- Provide a polite and efficient service to customers
- Maintain communication with management ensuring that they are kept aware of any incidents or issues which occur on the road or at customer premises
- Provide holiday/absence cover within warehouse
Essential Keys Skills and Attributes
- Conscientious, punctual and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be flexible this role will at times require working in warehouse
- Self‑motivated
- Full driving licence class C1
- CPC Digital Tacho card
- Ability to carry out manual handling duties
- Excellent customer service skills
Desirable
- Previous experience of multi drop deliveries
- Basic computer skills
- Counterbalance forklift certificate
