About the Role
You will be employed and paid by Unitruc Ltd. The company will be your point of contact for all operational work and support on any truck or customer‑related issues. You will travel all over the UK, manage your driver hours, keep customers informed, and comply with DVSA laws.
Responsibilities
- Start times for the week will be issued the week prior, outlining where you need to be and at what time.
- Drive to one of our Essex depots Monday morning (based on your location), park your truck securely and begin your week’s work.
- Call the customer upon arrival to your first drop/collection (all numbers and other relevant information will be issued to you).
- Receive daily job allocations throughout the week; communicate any delays, issues or relevant information to the team.
- Travel to and from Felixstowe, Tilbury or London Gateway ports delivering and collecting containers while sleeping out during the week, or returning to your depot as agreed with your manager.
Requirements
HGV C+E license (Container Driver). Must be able to work nights in the vehicle Monday to Friday.
