Uniting talent are currently recruiting for a transport compliance manager for our client based in Teesside. Within this position you will ensure the transport department is managed and supported in the most efficient way possible. You will stay up to date on the advances in fleet management technology to help drive us forward. You will also work closely with our Transport Office Manager in supporting the day-to-day operation and ensuring compliance is fully adhered to.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the fleet and ensuring the kit is compliant with legislation.
- Regularly auditing vehicle maintenance schedules and continually reviewing legislation changes.
- Ensuring Health and Safety requirements of the company are met within the department.
- Being the point of contact for motor insurance.
- Checking daily defects.
- Ensuring all vehicles are licensed, registered, and insured.
- Effectively managing the vehicle scheduling across the site regarding maintenance and repairs.
- Performing any other duties as required.
- Travelling on occasion to other depots.
What we are looking for:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage - International.
- Detailed understanding of relevant legislations in transport and health & safety.
- IT literate (Microsoft Office).
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in Compliance Management.
- Logistics experience.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and prioritisation skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
