Couterbalance And Flexi FLT Driver in Peterlee

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Counterbalance & FLT Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate forklifts. The FLT Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of materials within our organisation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Manage shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments against purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups using the warehouse management system.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.
• Assist with equipment repair as needed, demonstrating mechanical knowledge.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimise materials handling processes.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and in the warehouse.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a driving role, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures is essential.
• Strong skills in load unloading techniques and materials handling.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Experience operating forklifts; relevant certifications are advantageous.
• Basic maths skills for inventory management and record keeping.
• A valid FLT licence is required.
