The Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for managing all processes within the supply chain once initial production has been completed. The role will liaise with external stakeholders within the supply chain to ensure value-added processes are completed within a timely manner and to an expected standard. The role requires strong stakeholder management, relationship building and project management skills. The Supply Chain Planner will report to the Head of Procurement. This position will liaise heavily with external stakeholders within the supply chain, as well as internal project managers to update them on the status of each project.
Key Responsibilities- Effectively coordinate all external operations within the added value supply chain, ensuring completion within scope.
- Drive subcontractor performance through relationship building, site visits and potential supply chain improvement opportunities.
- Accurately record order activity within internal systems providing detailed commentary of any communications or order updates with subcontractors.
- Build and maintain a robust supply chain, negotiating to secure contracts and better pricing with new and existing subcontractors.
- Arrange transport for the movement of all products, including to and from subcontractors.
- Previous experience working in a planning-based role, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders, from shop floor to management, as well as internally and externally.
- High quality and accuracy of work, showing attention to detail.
- Knowledge of transporting product internationally/overseas import information is advantageous.
