We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Inspector to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in various commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to identify and report on potential hazards and compliance issues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments.
- Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment.
- Identify and document defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards.
- Provide clear and concise reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions.
- Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice.
- Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as required.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols always.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain and enhance technical skills.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical inspection or a related field.
- City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing.
- 18th Edition.
- In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and software for reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid UK driving licence (or equivalent, depending on location).
