Are you an ACA-qualified accountant with deep technical expertise and a track record of leading financial reporting in complex environments? This is a rare opportunity to take a leading role in the creation of a new organisation, helping to establish its financial systems and reporting framework from day one.
We\’re looking for a dynamic Financial Reporting Lead to oversee the setup of financial infrastructure for a newly formed subsidiary. You\’ll play a critical role in ensuring the organisation is fully compliant with accounting standards and external reporting obligations, while building a robust financial reporting function from the ground up.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead the design and implementation of financial reporting systems and processes for a new subsidiary.
* Establish and maintain compliance with IFRS, FReM, and other relevant reporting standards.
* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, tax specialists, and auditors.
* Build and develop a high-performing financial reporting team.
* Prepare technical accounting papers and briefings for senior decision-makers.
What We’re Looking For
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, especially in IFRS.
* Experience in year-end accounts closure and group consolidation.
* Proven leadership in financial reporting within large or complex organisations.
* Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
* Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
Desirable Experience
* Understanding of government accounting principles (e.g. resource accounting and budgeting).
* Background in the public sector or housing/property sectors.
* Familiarity with corporate tax compliance, including VAT and Corporation Tax.
Qualifications
* ACA qualification is essential.
* Candidates with significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
