UI Developer/Front-End Developer in Glasgow

Job Description

Role: UI Developer/Front End Developer

Glasgow - 5 days onsite - 430 gbp
Primary Skills: Next.js, React, React Server Components, Configuration-Driven Dynamic Layouts

Key Requirements:

• Strong experience in Next.js and React.js development.
• Hands-on experience with React Server Components (RSC) and modern Next.js architecture.
• Good understanding of Server Side Rendering (SSR) , Static Site Generation (SSG), and Client Components.
• Experience building configuration-driven/metadata-driven dynamic layouts and UI frameworks .
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design.
• Strong knowledge of React state management solutions (Context API, Redux, Zustand, etc.).
• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous data fetching.
• Familiarity with component libraries and design systems.
• Understanding of web performance optimization and accessibility standards.
• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with micro-Front End architecture.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
• Exposure to headless CMS platforms and content-driven applications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable Front End applications using Next.js and React.
• Design and implement dynamic, configuration-driven UI components and layouts.
• Leverage React Server Components to improve application performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with Back End, product, and UX teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.

Experience:

• 6+ years of Front End development experience.
• At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with Next.js and modern React ecosystem.
