Unique opportunity to join a fast-paced online distribution business who have had continued success and growth since they were established in 2013. The role will be supporting the Chief Operating Officer, reviewing areas of the business such as logistics, supply chain, operations, distribution, customer service and stock.
Working on small, medium and longer-term projects to pull information, collecting data from internal systems, manual systems, 3rd parties, senior management team, in-depth research on other avenues to obtain information required. Projects could include defining current business challenges, information on specific SKUs, warehouse availability, supply chain, transport and logistics.
Interrogating data to glean in-depth insights to support better business decisions, improve operations, streamline processes, increase efficiencies and profitability, and drive business decisions. Create/set up reports to present to stakeholders and the leadership team. To develop solutions that will improve business areas, current costing to identify potential savings and increase profitability.
Duties:
- Collect data: Ensure that data is being collected accurately and in a timely manner
- Store data: Make sure that data is stored in a way that is easy to access
- Analyse data: Extract insights from data to help the business make decisions
- Set up reports: Create reports that help the business understand their data
- Communicate information: Share insights with key stakeholders, such as company leadership
- Define business problems, gather data and develop solutions
- Review data to solve problems and learn about customers
Skills and Experience:
- Retail/supply chain, distribution or similar background preferable
- Previous experience working in a similar role
- Able to self-manage
- Self-driven and organised
- Good communication
- Able to work as a team player
