In this role, you will report to the UK Head of Corporate Affairs. Your responsibilities include:

  • Drafting policy position papers to articulate the client's point of view on key policy areas.
  • Designing and executing public affairs campaigns, enhancing the client's reputation and thought leadership with key audiences in the policymaking arena.
  • Deepening and institutionalising the client's standing and relationships with policymakers in Westminster and the regions through direct contact and relationship-building, as well as through the client's memberships in trade associations.
  • Monitoring and analysing key policy issues, briefing internal stakeholders, maintaining key content collateral, and supporting relevant internal Corporate Affairs forums and conversations, including liaising with the client's government relations agency.
  • Monitoring and managing our memberships in trade bodies and relationships with think tanks.
  • Managing the Corporate Affairs intern.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Government or Public Affairs role.
  • Deep, demonstrable understanding of UK governmental operations is essential; an aptitude for India/Asia business culture is also a plus.
  • Ability to lead and supervise support resources, staff, or external agencies.
  • Proactive mindset with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong advocacy skills.
  • Excellent communicator - oral and written.
  • Positive attitude, leadership qualities, and flexible team-oriented approach to working with others.

This role is London based, but you should expect some travel within the UK as part of the role.
