We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Territory Manager to join our Capital Division, covering Wales and the South West. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous sales experience who is looking to develop a successful career within the medical devices sector. The successful candidate may already have experience within healthcare or medical sales or alternatively come from a strong commercial sales background in another industry and be looking to transition into medical devices.

The role is responsible for developing sales opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets across the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve and exceed territory sales targets and objectives.
  • Develop and implement a territory business plan to maximise growth opportunities.
  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across NHS and private healthcare customers.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
  • Promote the Company's Capital Equipment portfolio to healthcare professionals and decision-makers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to customers.
  • Generate quotations and support tender opportunities where required.
  • Manage the sales process from prospecting through to successful implementation.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Build strong relationships with clinicians, procurement teams, healthcare managers, and key stakeholders.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and account management.
  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries and requests.
Market & Territory Management
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the local healthcare market and competitor activity.
  • Identify market trends and commercial opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity using the Company's CRM system.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports.
Team & Company Collaboration
  • Work closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing, Customer Services, and Operations.
  • Participate in sales meetings, product training, exhibitions, and industry events.
  • Represent the Company professionally at all times.
Person SpecificationEssential
  • Previous field-based sales experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Wales and the South West.
Desirable
  • Experience within medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or capital equipment sales.
  • Experience selling into NHS or healthcare environments.
  • Knowledge of procurement and tender processes.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent commercial experience.
