Utilities Ground worker

Cleantech Civils is looking for a skilled Utilities Groundworker to join our team on an ongoing framework project across Scotland’s central belt. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in utility works and a commitment to safe, high-quality delivery on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of groundworks, including excavation, ducting, backfilling, reinstatement, and general site duties.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of utility infrastructure.
• Work closely with site supervisors and engineers to ensure tasks are completed safely and to specification.
• Operate plant and equipment (where tickets allow) in line with health and safety standards.
• Support the smooth running of day-to-day site operations and contribute to a positive, efficient working environment.
• Follow site safety procedures, report hazards, and maintain a clean and organised work area.

Requirements

• Previous experience in utilities or civil engineering groundworks.
• Valid CSCS card (essential).
• Additional tickets such as CAT & Genny, Dumper, Roller, or Street Works are advantageous.
• Strong awareness of site health & safety procedures.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions effectively.
• Reliable, hardworking, and capable of working outdoors in all conditions.
• Working with Scottish Water an advantage.
