Location: Harlow, Essex. Hours: Monday to Friday 06:30 - 16:00. Salary: £29,707.64.

Riverway Foods was a family‑owned business based in Harlow, Essex until becoming part of the CPC Group. We produce some of the best sausages around and supply to major retailers including Aldi, Costco and Tesco. As our team grows we are looking for a new Team Leader to join us.

The Role: As a Team Leader at Riverway Foods you will provide team leadership across your lines, develop and maintain a positive working environment, and take ownership of training and developing your team members regarding standard operating procedures, equipment instructions, process work instructions, and required records.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain management information systems to aid the management of and reporting of KPIs, including Effective Labour Utilisation and Stock Control Management Systems.
  • Ensure that all team members demonstrate competency in carrying out tasks and operations to the required standard by undertaking relevant assessment and competency reviews.
  • Ensure colleagues on shift execute the agreed production plan safely, on time and in full, meeting high food safety standards, minimum waste, good yield management, and producing high quality products.
  • Perform standard yield, quality, volume and cycle time reporting and detail reasons for failure to meet standards (either positive or negative).
  • Ensure designated areas are well maintained, providing clean and safe working conditions.
  • Report all incidents and unsafe conditions and contribute to investigations and follow‑up actions as necessary.
  • Maintain and set good housekeeping standards within designated areas while on shift.
  • Work on Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • Work on advanced manufacturing and work order management.
  • Know when to ask for support from your line manager.

Preferred Experience:

  • Food Industry experience.
  • Evidence of team leading experience (minimum team size of 5).
  • L3 Food and Drink Technical Operator Qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Level 2 HACCP certified and Level 2 Health and Safety.
  • Own transport to site.
