We have UK facilities/offices in Alloa, Elland, Bedford, East Kilbride & London, as well as employees based UK wide within customer sites.
An exciting new vacancy has arisen aligned to the continued growth of our company for the role of Driver/Packer at our workshop in Elland, working a compressed 4-day week from Monday to Thursday.
Role Overview
Working as part of a small team, the Driver/Packer will be responsible for carrying out both hard-case and soft-case packing duties, ensuring correct and safe loading, lifting and securing of product, and completing local driving duties when required. The role also involves inventory control, updating relevant systems, and maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving Duties
- Transport goods between Trillium Flow Technologies UK Ltd and local subcontractors.
- Ensure products are safely loaded and vehicles are not overloaded.
- Follow all road safety guidelines and legislative requirements.
- Packing Duties
- Carry out soft packing (cartons) and hard packing (cases and case fittings).
- Operate the heat-shrink system.
- Perform case markings, weighing and counting of products and materials.
- Inspect packing and materials to ensure specifications are met.
- Load and unload wagons safely in accordance with company procedures.
- Complete all associated paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- General
- Maintain high Health & Safety standards at all times.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ensure the working area is maintained in presentation condition.
- Work flexibly to meet operational demands.
- Operate within all TFT safety systems, including duty of care requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
- Essential:
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience in soft packing, including goods packed into cartons and heat-wrapped onto pallets.
- Preferred:
- Previous packing experience (both hard and soft packing).
- Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
- Basic working knowledge of Word and Excel.
