We are looking for a Technical Services Manager to ensure the continuous development of the Quality Management System (QMS), challenging, and validating our systems and processes, helping to manage key risks across the site. To support our Head of Technical in the management of customer, 3rd party & regulatory authority audits. Review of supplier data, including approval documentation, specifications, key quality assurance information management systems.
In this role your key accountabilities will include:
- Maintaining and evolving all aspects of the quality management system relevant to BRCGS & Customer COP’s and ensure all customer specific requirements are adhered to including animal welfare.
- Management of the traceability and mass balance exercises and schedule.
- Managing the Internal audit programme inline with BRCGS and other customer specific requirements.
- Support the Head of Technical during customer visits and technical audits to ensure a successful outcome.
- Manage the external audit programme and ensure timely and effective close out of all non‑conformances.
- Management of supplier non‑conformances and effective close outs.
- Coaching and developing the quality systems and the Specification technologists, setting objectives, and supporting training needs.
- To champion strong cross‑function relationships that embed our food safety culture as a shared responsibility on site.
- Act as a deputy for the Head of Technical as required and undertake any additional duties as directed by them.
Who we are ideally looking for:
- Demonstrable experience in a food manufacturing quality role including team management.
- Experience of quality/technical systems essential.
- Level 3 HACCP certification minimum along with knowledge of HACCP principle and practical application.
- CIEH level 3 Food Safety for Manufacturing Lead Auditor/Internal Auditing.
- Good IT, literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
