Make a difference in the lives of children in Foster care.

Your new role:

As a Senior Case Manager, Out of Home Care you are responsible for providing support to children and young people aged 0-18 years and their families in a foster care setting. The client group consists of both statutory Child Protection clients and voluntary clients. You will provide mentoring, supervision and support to the team in addition to holding complex cases. You will provide direct case management to children and young people from Out of Home Care programs including Foster Care. You also provide further resourcing to our Foster Care team through carer recruitment and retention activities and may assist in supporting accreditation and assessment of foster carers.

Your skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or other related field.
  • Current driver’s licence valid in Victoria.
  • A minimum of two years of demonstrated ability as a practitioner in the child, youth and family welfare field.
  • A role in Home Based Care is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging with families successfully and completing assertive outreach.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and appropriately respond to risk for children aged 0-18 years.
