Part-Time (3 days per week) Max Term position until September 2027 (Parental Leave cover) SCHADS Level 5 + Super + Salary packaging. Increase take-home pay with access to $15,900 salary packing benefits. Based at Croydon.

The Family Services Strengthening Families stream provides community-based support and case management to help children, young people and their families overcome challenges. The primary goal is to promote child safety, build parenting skills and prevent family situations from escalating to the point where statutory intervention is required. Referrals are received through The Orange Door.

Your impact will include:

  • Promoting and responding to stability and wellbeing for children and young people.
  • Coordinating and leading case coordination with multiple stakeholders.
  • Connecting families with community resources.
  • Responding to concerns that impact on parenting such as mental health, alcohol and other drugs or family violence.

Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare or a related discipline is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability in child, youth and family welfare.
  • Experience with vulnerable families and adolescents.
  • Strong knowledge of Best Interests Case Practice Model and CYFA 2005.
  • Advanced understanding of child development, trauma and attachment.
