Your new role:
As an Independent Living Support Worker, you will provide support to individuals who need assistance with activities of daily living, including personal care, dressing, house cleaning, preparing meals, property maintenance, and community access. In this role, you will provide services to support people with disabilities, chronic health conditions or mental health challenges and their unpaid carers. These services help people live as independently as possible in the community. The goal is to promote and maintain a person’s independence and capacity to live safely at home and participate in community activities. This role involves a flexible rostering arrangement in which the workplace is primarily the private homes of clients or their carers, Uniting offices and community settings.

Your skills and experience:
- Minimum Certificate 3 in Individual Support (or equivalent qualification).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate Level 2.
- Current Victorian drivers licence.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Demonstrated ability to perform routine domestic tasks as necessary to maintain the normal function of a household.
- Experience in the personal care of children and vulnerable people.
- Ability to provide monitoring and social/emotional support for clients in a sensitive and confidential manner.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and effective time management.
