The Victorian Family Preservation and Reunification (FPR) Response is an innovative, evidence‑based program dedicated to working intensively with families to reduce the risk of children entering – or returning to – out‑of‑home care. We deliver fast, coordinated, and wraparound support that strengthens families and transforms futures.
As a key practitioner in our FPR team, you will:
- Build strong, culturally safe, strengths-based relationships with children and families
- Deliver intensive assessments, safety planning, and tailored parenting strategies
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to create a connected web of support
- Champion resilience, empowerment, and self-determination for every family you work with
You’ll work closely with some of Victoria’s most vulnerable children and young people, including:
- Families with unborn Child Protection reports
- Children aged 0–5
- Adolescents aged 10–14 with multiple Child Protection reports or orders
These families may be experiencing complex challenges such as early Child Protection involvement, disability-related care needs, mental health concerns, substance use, family violence, or their own history of being in care.

Your skills and experience
A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, community services work or equivalent. Minimum of two years’ experience in case management.
