Software Team Lead Staines, Greater London (hybrid) £100-120,000 plus benefits
Manage and inspire a multidisciplinary team of Engineering and DevOps professionals, delivering best-in-class software solutions to an international user base. This is an opportunity to be part of an amazing inclusive team that works within a multicultural, collaborative environment. This is a hands-on team lead role, contributing to code design and architecture, whilst managing delivery, coaching colleagues and owning team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers
- Propose, prioritize and manage backlog tasks for future sprints
- Oversee the development, testing, and implementation of software projects
- Ensure the quality, efficiency and scalability of the codebase
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality products
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices and processes
- Develop new features and maintain current production deployments
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to keep systems modern and efficient
Technical qualifications:
- Background in software development and ability/willingness to code if required
- Expertise in multiple programming languages, with a strong emphasis on Python
- Experience with modern development frameworks and tools
- Experience in cloud computing (we have AWS)
- Experience with Data Platforms, ETLs, and collaborating with Data Science
