Job Brief: Sales Floor Supervisor - Depot: Greater Manchester - Reporting to: Floor Manager

Who we are: United Wholesale Grocers Limited was founded in 1977 by Mr. Mohammed Ramzan. The company has over 200 employees with a turnover in excess of £220 million. We have 3 branches, 2 in Glasgow and 1 at Gateshead in the North East of England and we are about to open a new branch in the Greater Manchester area. We are primarily a Cash & Carry Wholesale business with a wide product portfolio consisting of Beers, Wines, Spirits, Soft Drinks, Confectionary, Crisps and Snacks, Household and Grocery.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the sales floor area and the team members
  • Organising weekly shift rotas
  • Ensuring stock availability
  • Implementation of best in class merchandising
  • High standard of housekeeping
  • Excellence in customer service
  • Supporting other departments as required

Skills Required:

  • Excellent work ethic is required, as well as punctuality and reliability
  • Great with customers and aware of their needs, while being polite and friendly at all times
  • Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team to guide them
  • Good time management as you will be working at speed
  • Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet targets
  • Able to work in a high-volume, sometimes physically challenging role
  • Able to work quickly and to deadlines
  • Confident working alongside the depot management team
  • Experienced in the use of MS Word, and Excel are preferred
