New Leaf Link (NeLL) is a non-profit charitable organization based in Frontenac County that supports the continuing education and meaningful occupation of adults with developmental disabilities. NeLL Programs depend on VOLUNTEERS to help enrich the lives of disabled participants. A background in education, health and/or the arts is beneficial, but not essential.

NeLL classes are offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9:30 and 2:30 at the Harrowsmith Free Methodist Church.

Dates and Times: Program is offered Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9:30am and 2:30pm; volunteers are welcome to join one, two or three days per week.

Required Qualifications: A background in education, health and/or the arts is beneficial, but not essential. Patient, supportive, engaging and fun!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Participate and assist in our Education Programming (health, fitness, food preparation, art, photography, dance, drama, etc…)
  • General volunteer opportunities (helping at our Open House and fundraising events; sewing costumes; baking for special events; an extra set of hands to help anytime)
  • Creative Option where you tell us what you can offer in assistance (Are you great with computers? Are you well connected in your community to help raise our profile? Familiar with fundraising?)

Our program offers opportunities to learn skills, build friendships, and engage in community activities. NeLL serves an important role in providing volunteer opportunities to seniors and students in the Kingston region by providing the opportunity to foster meaningful social connections and opportunities for inclusion.
