The Role
Play a key role in keeping United Utilities’ critical assets running at their best. In this hands-on role, you will deliver a high-quality lubrication monitoring and reporting service that directly contributes to the reliability, efficiency and longevity of our Water and Wastewater infrastructure. By applying lubrication best practice and supporting the wider maintenance strategy, you will help maximise asset performance, reduce downtime and ensure our customers receive a dependable service every day.
Responsibilities
- Carry out lubrication activities across Water and Wastewater assets in line with maintenance requirements.
- Confirm completion of lubrication tasks to the required standards and frequencies.
- Undertake minor remedial work on lubrication systems within competency and training levels.
- Perform human-senses inspections and raise further work where necessary.
- Maintain and manage lubricants, materials and local oil stores in line with UU best practice.
- Use predictive technologies, sampling and analysis to monitor asset condition and take appropriate follow-up action.
- Define and update component information within the asset register to ensure correct lubrication tasks are deployed.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English) at grade C or equivalent.
- Experience in maintenance or mechanical engineering.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Awareness of the Water Industry.
- Demonstrated experience in problem-solving and practical fault resolution.
