Job PurposeYou will be responsible for the effective day‐to‐day operation and maintenance of all Wastewater Network powered assets e.g. pumping stations, combined sewer overflows and detention tanks within a defined geographical area. You will ensure the smooth operation of assets minimising any impact on the customer and ensuring excellent customer service at all times. You will provide the first call response, carrying out basic electrical and mechanical maintenance activities in response to reactive incidents
What the Network Maintainer Controller will be doing :Respond promptly to reactive incidents by performing basic electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks. Take accountability for identifying root causes and raising follow‐up work requests to the appropriate teams, helping to resolve issues and prevent repeat failures.
Adhere to United Utilities\’ health and safety policies at all times. Accurately complete all required regulatory and statutory health and safety data using company systems, ensuring reliability and compliance.
Complete scheduled operational and mechanical maintenance activities. Monitor alarm data at powered assets and communicate necessary updates to the area Technical Officer (Maintenance), supporting continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Liaise with Wastewater Network Teams, customers, and contractors to ensure smooth operations. Manage asset registration and de‐registration on corporate systems, and issue permits to work and access certificates, ensuring regulatory compliance at all powered sites.
Provide excellent customer service by resolving issues promptly and keeping stakeholders informed. Attend appointments and respond to complaints or escalations. Identify and submit investment needs for powered assets, contributing to long‐term infrastructure reliability and performance.
