Drive Net Zero through process optimisation, data insight and real operational change. We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to help accelerate the delivery of our Net Zero ambitions across complex operational assets. This role sits at the heart of our operations—working directly with site teams to reduce energy use, improve performance and embed sustainable ways of working. This is not a desk‑based sustainability role. You’ll be out in the business—leading workshops, analysing real‑world data and delivering improvement projects that make a measurable difference to how our sites perform.

Role Accountabilities

  • Lead the rollout and continuous improvement of energy, carbon and water performance standards across operational sites.
  • Work closely with site teams to identify and deliver practical efficiency improvements, from no-cost wins through to capital projects.
  • Use operational and metering data to identify waste, diagnose issues and unlock performance improvements.
  • Lead site workshops and engagement sessions building capability and driving ownership of performance at local level.
  • Develop and deliver invest‑to‑save projects, including business cases, funding and implementation.
  • Standardise and scale best practice improvements across multiple sites.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A strong engineering background, across either process, mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Experience delivering improvement projects—whether in energy, process efficiency, CI or asset optimisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to carry out root cause analysis and turn insight into action.
  • Confidence to work on operational sites and influence frontline teams through workshops and engagement.
  • Experience building business cases and delivering projects end‑to‑end.
  • Degree qualified engineer, with either chartership status or ability to obtain chartership within 12 months.
