Job Purpose: We have a great opportunity working in a small team where you'll be involved in ensuring the accuracy of billing for our household customers and assist in identifying sales losses and gains. You'll provide an expert level of customer service and billing knowledge to investigate and update customer accounts. You'll also deal with customer contacts where appropriate.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities: You'll ensure the generation of UUW Domestic Retail sales and billing in a timely and accurate manner. You'll also be responsible for:
- Working with Phixflow to build and implement business models to facilitate reporting and correction of customer accounts to assure the accuracy of customer bills and support the cash collection strategies
- Analysing reports and driving out root cause for billing issues, ensuring process improvements are identified and communicated to internal and external departments
- Proactively identifying areas for analysis to assure billing data
- Driving out revenue leakage
- Carrying out audit checks on customer billing data
- Ensuring that complex actions/calculations are processed in an accurate and timely manner and in line with policy
- Proactive and confident approach to dealing with customers both internal and external
Technical Skills & Experience: To be successful in this role you'll need strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent knowledge of detailed understanding of the principles of revenue assurance. You'll also need:
- Knowledge and application of UU billing policies
- Understanding of billing cycles
- Wide knowledge of working in a Billing and Collections environment
- Knowledge and experience of process improvement
- Ability to interrogate billing system customer accounts and understand billing related issues
- Ability to deal with customer facing billing issues and see through to resolution
- Good understanding of the regulatory framework
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of SQL would be an advantage
