b Overview /b p In this role you will monitor and control trade effluent discharges to sewers, providing data to support cost recovery for treatment. You’ll work with a local team, liaising with retailers and non-household customers to meet service SLAs and ensure regulatory compliance. You will sample, test, and verify discharges, underpin enforcement where needed, and provide out-of-hours incident support. This opportunity sits within a purpose-driven utility focused on protecting the environment and North West water infrastructure. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li 26 days annual leave (30 after 4 years) /li li pension scheme up to 14% employer contribution /li li bonus scheme up to 7.5% /li li comprehensive healthcare /li li gym and wellness discounts /li li Employee Assistance Plan /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Liaise with retailers on behalf of Non-Household Customers via JIRA to meet SLAs for queries, applications, and sample notifications /li li Collect samples and meter readings per a predefined schedule under Trade Effluent Policy /li li Issue and manage consents to ensure adequate protection of assets and environment /li li Monitor discharge analysis results and perform site tests to verify compliance with consents /li li Gather evidence to support potential legal action for regulatory breaches /li li Provide out-of-hours support for trade effluent incident management /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Knowledge of trade effluent regulations and environmental law /li li Proficiency with Word, Excel and experience with JIRA, TEMS, WALTO, OMS and Access /li li Experience in UU Health Safety environment (Airline use) /li li Good interpersonal and communication skills /li li Must have a valid driving licence /li li Availability to participate in the Trade Effluent Standby Rota /li /ul ul li Interpersonal communication /li li Problem-solving /li li Collaboration /li li JIRA /li li TEMS /li li WALTO /li /ul
