As Regional Response Team Leader, you\’ll coordinate emergency support across the North West. Manage response controllers, deploy alternative supply solutions, and oversee critical equipment‑vehicles, pumps, generators, and bottled water. Ensure service continuity, meet regulatory targets, and lead teams through coaching and mentoring to minimise customer disruption.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and develop Regional Response Controllers to deliver exceptional emergency support.
- Coordinate delivery, installation, and operation of emergency plant, including HGVs, pumps, generators, pontoons, and lifting equipment.
- Ensure maintenance and compliance of emergency plant stores, equipment, and disinfection processes for alternative supply systems.
- Manage alternative water supplies for key customers, including bottled water stocks and agency drivers, ensuring safety and legal compliance.
- Oversee safe operation of Alternative Supply Vehicles (ASVs) and liaise with site controllers during injection/fill events.
- Maintain full compliance with Health & Safety and O Licence requirements through auditing, driving standards, and tachograph administration.
- Communicate effectively across regional response locations to deliver efficient planned and reactive emergency responses.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory or line management experience, with strong leadership skills.
- Transport Manager CPC or solid knowledge of transport and driving legislation.
- Expertise in plant and equipment maintenance, with a strong commitment to Health & Safety compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to handle complex information and challenging situations.
- Flexible, IT‑literate (MS Office), and willing to undertake CPD, including Class 1 HGV training.
