Job Purpose: We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Project Coordinator to join us! In this role you will provide advice, guidance, and support to the Project Delivery Team to ensure that any potential Customer and Third-party issues are identified and resolved.

You will be the focal point for advising the Delivery Manager and project team on the coordination of customer and third-party operations (e.g., network rail and power supply). You will work with both internal and external stakeholders to assist in the delivery of a variety of small and lower complexity projects.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Delivery Manager and project team in identifying customer and third-party risks for lower complexity capital projects, as well as customer/street works issues and community investment opportunities.
  • Work alongside Environment & Sustainability PLE (Planning, Landscape, and Ecology) to develop Customer and Third-Party Action Plans for projects. Produce the Checklist for identifying third parties and assessing the impact on customers.
  • Working with the Delivery Manager and project team to ensure effective internal and external stakeholder identification, analysis, and ongoing engagement (e.g., customers, Parish Council, Street works, United Utilities Operations personnel, public, community groups).
  • Working with the Delivery Manager and project team to ensure that customer and third-party risks are communicated to the team and properly incorporated into key project documentation and processes such as Business cases, Project risk register, Batch Management Plan.
  • Providing direction and assistance to the Delivery Manager and project team on the ownership and resolution of customer contacts in compliance with the company's guaranteed service standards and service level agreements.
  • Contributing to project reviews and input to monthly reports on customer/stakeholder management.
  • Developing a strong working relationship and lines of communication with the relevant Area Engagement Lead.
  • Take part in Value Management and Collaborative planning meetings.
  • Ensure that all essential customer and Third-Party permissions and consents are in place prior to full approval or start on site.
  • Undertake assurance activities such as site visits to monitor project performance for customer and third-party activities.
  • When required, provide support to the Third Party and Senior Third Party Co-Ordinators in activities and administrative tasks related to more complex projects.

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Be enthusiastic about providing great customer service.
  • Proven record of providing exceptional customer service.
  • You should be able to communicate well with customers, internal and external stakeholders, and be able to adapt your communication style to different scenarios.
  • Have a good understanding of Microsoft applications - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
