We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our production team. This is a varied role within an industrial utilities’ environment, where you will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and improving critical water and wastewater assets. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, reliability, and continuous improvement across the site.
A typical day may include fault finding a three-phase pump circuit in the morning, completing planned maintenance on control panels in the afternoon, and supporting automation improvements or contractor works as required. You will benefit from starting your day from home, using a fully equipped company van, travelling to site as required. The role offers a strong blend of planned maintenance, reactive fault finding, and improvement work, with excellent long-term stability and development opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical works
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults to minimise downtime and ensure asset reliability
- Working on a range of industrial electrical systems across operational sites
- Supporting capital and operational project work
- Working safely in confined spaces and high-risk environments
- Collaborating with internal teams and supervising electrical contractors
- Accurately recording maintenance activities and complying with safety procedures
- Participating in a standby rota (1 in 6), supporting critical assets, with standby payments in addition to salary where applicable

What You Must Have Experience In:
- Proven industrial electrical experience, including industrial electrical maintenance and fault finding
- Pumps – including installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair in an operational environment
- 400V three-phase systems – confident working on motors and motor starters
- Control panels – fault finding, modification, and understanding of control wiring
- Industrial automated systems – exposure to automated plant, process control, or similar industrial systems
- Experience working alongside electrical contractors in industrial or utilities environments
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Recognised Electrical Qualification – NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential – company van provided)
- Strong health and safety awareness
- Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Willingness to participate in the standby rota
