We’re looking for proactive and collaborative professionals to strengthen our relationship with the Environment Agency and support our operational teams across both Network and Process.
In this role, you’ll be the vital link between operations and the regulator-providing expert support during and after compliance inspections, helping to drive improvements, and building trust through credible, timely actions.
Your work will play a key part in ensuring we not only meet regulatory requirements but also continue to raise the bar on environmental performance and compliance.
These roles will be in the following areas:
Crewe, Northwich, Warrington North, Cumbria, Blackburn, Manchester & Liverpool.
Key Accountabilities
- To support operations with the increased number or compliance assessments seen and are anticipated in the future.
- To proactively drive site standards conversations.
- To support operations in the resolution of actions which may be recorded as part of Compliance Inspections.
- To analyse themes highlighted during Compliance Inspections.
- To act as a supportive challenge to operations ahead of any inspections.
- To undertake ad-hoc audits of operational sites.
- Support & facilitate EA County relationships and meetings with operational teams.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of understanding and knowledge of the regulatory and legislative framework surrounding the water industry.
- Proven strong leadership skills
- Detailed knowledge of the regulations covering environmental permitting
- Ability to use main Microsoft office tools and corporate systems, (iComply, OMS, and JIRA)
- Demonstrable networking skills and experience of external business interactions
- Extensive problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, develop and drive solutions to a wide range of problems whilst knowing when to escalate or seek support from others
- A proven track record of achieving goals, objectives and key performance measures.
- Excellent proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
