United Utilities’ Energy Generation team is looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer with a strong mechanical core to support the performance of our renewable and low carbon energy assets. This is a permanent role based in Davyhulme, working a Monday to Friday, 37-hour week.
In this hands-on position, you will work with large-scale, high-performance equipment including spark-ignition and dual-fuel engines, combined heat and power (CHP) systems, and associated plant. You will play a key role in ensuring these assets remain safe, efficient, and reliable, directly contributing to sustainable energy production.
This is a varied and engaging role where you will apply your diagnostic thinking and mechanical expertise to operate, maintain, and repair complex energy systems. Working both independently and collaboratively, you will take ownership of fault finding, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
You will be part of a forward-thinking environment, with ongoing training and development to support your growth within the renewable energy sector.
