The role involves leading the successful delivery of a comprehensive programme of works executed by UU’s Capital Delivery Organisation, which encompasses areas such as Better Rivers, Wastewater, Water, and Enterprise. This role will support the Enterprise delivery programme in the Cumbria & Windermere area, working on high-profile wastewater projects.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Establishing, leading, and managing high performing multi-disciplinary teams across multiple partner organisations.
- Using and promoting innovative thinking to solve problems and develop cost-effective solutions.
- Fulfilling the role of Client’s Representative under CDM.
- Managing NEC4 ECC contracts with design and construction partners.
- Collaborating with senior leaders and teams to ensure understanding and agreement with programme objectives.
- Achieving budget goals for all current and future accounting periods.
- Overseeing the building of the Performance Measurement Baseline for projects/portfolio.
- Integrating the schedule with scope, cost, and quality baselines to create a comprehensive plan.
To be successful, you’ll need to demonstrate:
- A track record of successfully leading multi-discipline teams to deliver major infrastructure capital projects (£50m+).
- Experience in a client-facing collaborative environment.
- Any of the following: CEng MICE, CIWEM, MSP/PRINCE2, MAPM ChPP, or equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience.
- A current UK/EU driving licence.
