Job Purpose: United Utilities is committed to achieving integrated water management within the five counties of the North West of England, to benefit customers, society and the environment and has set out ambitious plans for partnership working as part of the PR24 business plan. This commitment has brought an exciting opportunity for a Partnership Co-ordinator to work across United Utilities and with partner organisations to support the delivery of this approach. The successful Co-ordinator will work directly with an Integrated Water Manager and will assist the development and maintenance of internal partnership products and tools and support the reporting of partnership delivery in the region. They will work within the wider Integrated Water Management team and collaborate with other teams in United Utilities to ensure there is accurate visibility, tracking and reporting against all partnership opportunities.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities: In support of the Integrated Water Management vision, this role will assist the continual development and delivery of United Utilities Partnership Framework across the region including:

  • Own the development of the UU Partnership Sharepoint and ensure access and updates are available for the business in a timely manner
  • Manage the partnership opportunity pipeline (spreadsheet and GIS versions) and the partnership database and ensure they are regularly reviewed, updated and reported to internal stakeholders
  • Support the co-ordination of the Partnership Steering Group through content creation, action and minute taking
  • Maintain and develop internal processes that support the maturity of the Partnership Framework
  • Identify areas for continual improvement through regular engagement with stakeholders and ensure improvements are delivered in a timely manner
  • Monitor and report annually the partnership leverage value and other reporting metrics needed to support in-AMP delivery
  • Support the creation of case studies for regulatory frameworks (e.g. DWMP, WRMP, PR29)
  • Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders and embrace partnership working
  • Ensuring that the activities listed above are delivered on time and to a high quality. This role requires working with external partners and key stakeholders across the organisation.

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to competently work with key internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Excellent skills in planning and co-ordinating a variety of tasks and supporting others to deliver
  • Strong skills in Word, Powerpoint, Excel and GIS
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal)
  • Ability to complete tasks on time to a high standard
  • Ability to work in an agile way and manage a dynamic workload
  • Excellent problem solver who can independently find solutions to complex problems and requests
  • Good level of experience and understanding of working within United Utilities
  • Relevant knowledge of UU’s history of partnership working and future ambitions
