Job Purpose:
We are looking for a proactive and collaborative BMAC Project Controller to join the Property Services Building Maintenance and Compliance (BMAC) team at United Utilities. This role is a fixed term contract (12 months) to cover maternity leave and will continue to play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of approximately 7,800 buildings, offices, and depots. You will co-ordinate the planning and delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance, working closely with the BMAC Manager and internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives and deliver real value.
Responsibilities:
You will play a central role in shaping and delivering building maintenance and compliance projects that make a difference, including financial reporting and tracking of property services budgets. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop robust business cases for BMAC, FM and Property Services Capital Projects with clear costs and benefits.
- Manage approval processes and ensure compliance with financial governance standards.
- Monitor, track and report on Capital and Opex budgets for BMAC, FM and Property Services.
- Ensure accurate project setup and tracking with Project Controllers.
- Maintain robust budget and financial trackers for BMAC, FM and Property Services.
- Produce weekly and monthly financial reports to support effective decision-making.
- Analyse and report on budgets, financial trackers and spending trends across BMAC, FM and Property Services.
- Own and resolve risks and issues, maintaining a clear audit trail.
- Co-ordinate and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
