The Routine Maintenance Coordinator will coordinate routine inspections, maintenance, and serviceability across the wastewater network, including sewer cleansing, surveys, and asset cleaning. You will manage delivery across both operational and capital programmes, working with internal teams and external partners to ensure work is completed efficiently, on time, within budget, and to high quality standards across your assigned area.

What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinate the delivery of cyclical maintenance, routine inspections, and serviceability improvement programmes across a defined drainage area.
  • Support the development of prioritised plans that balance customer needs, operational performance, compliance, health and safety, and budget requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver programmes efficiently, including arranging site access where needed.
  • Oversee progress, ensuring programmes are delivered on time and to a high standard, and flag any issues or required corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support to resolve issues, respond to queries, and manage customer concerns.
  • Ensure asset and programme data is accurate, up to date, and maintained across all systems.
  • Manage access permissions for private land where required and support accurate programme costing and performance reporting.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with wastewater network assets, operations, and maintenance practices.
  • Good commercial awareness, including experience managing maintenance contracts and cost control.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements, along with health and safety standards such as Construction Design and Management Regulations and New Roads and Street Works Act.
  • Confident user of operational systems and data tools, with strong analytical and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with a customer‑focused approach.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and coordinate multiple contractors and internal teams effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Higher National Certificate or Higher National Diploma (or equivalent) in an engineering or technical discipline.
