The Role
We’re looking for a Project Liaison Coordinator to act as the vital link between Wastewater Operations and Capital Delivery teams, ensuring projects are safe, compliant, operationally effective and deliver long-term value to customers and the environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong operational knowledge with the confidence to challenge, influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Project Liaison Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring wastewater projects are designed, constructed and handed over with operational needs at the forefront.
You’ll:
- Represent Wastewater Operations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide operational and regulatory expertise to support project decision-making.
- Review project scopes, designs and construction methodologies.
- Ensure projects are built to required asset, safety and operational standards.
- Identify and mitigate operational, environmental and customer risks.
- Support spill reduction initiatives and system performance improvements.
- Act as the Operations lead during key project reviews and governance meetings.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors and Operational Teams.
- Support the safe commissioning and handover of new assets into operation.
- Promote best practice in Health & Safety, compliance and risk management.

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years' experience within the water industry.
- Strong understanding of wastewater networks and/or treatment operations.
- Knowledge of pumping stations, CSOs and wastewater treatment processes.
- Experience working within operational, maintenance or project environments.
- Understanding of Health & Safety legislation, work authorisation and confined space requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and planning skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
A full UK driving licence is essential, as regular travel to sites across Lancashire will be required. A company van will be provided to support site visits and business travel.
Qualifications
BTEC Level 3 (or equivalent) in Wastewater Operations, Engineering or a related discipline, or willingness to work towards this qualification.
