United Utilities is looking for a confident technical leader to take charge of our Streetworks audit, assurance and laboratory testing programme. If you're an expert in NRSWA compliance with a passion for quality, this is your chance to shape how a major FTSE 100 company delivers safe, compliant and high-standard streetworks across the North West.
Responsibilities
- Lead all streetworks audits, inspections and UKAS-aligned laboratory testing
- Manage and develop a high-performing Streetworks Compliance Team
- Act as Laboratory Manager, ensuring full regulatory and quality compliance
- Oversee contracts, budgets and relationships with internal teams, Network Partners, Highways Authorities and UKAS
- Serve as UU's technical authority on NRSWA, SROH, UKAS and best practice
- Drive continuous improvement in streetworks quality and reduce regulatory risk
- Support wider assurance functions, including ISO certification
Qualifications
- Full NRSWA Supervisor and Operative qualifications
- IOSH or NEBOSH certification for construction site auditing
- Extensive experience in streetworks auditing, testing and compliance (5+ years)
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Excellent planning, decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and proven budget management
